SPECIAL PROJECT

An unorthodox artistic event that defies definition, a mélange of sampling and bricolage, MAYDAY remix is a fragmented rereading of the company’s repertoire. Armed with excerpts from the company’s works, Mélanie Demers dives into a full-scale deconstruction exercise. New partners are given free rein to revisit, reinterpret, subvert, or distort the material on offer.

Made possible by the collaboration of numerous guest artists, the project is conceived as a journey where each stopping point reveals a part of the whole. MAYDAY remix splits, fragments, and rebuilds its own repertoire, offering a kaleidoscopic vision of the choreographer’s universe.
