Mélanie Demers is now in Malmö, Sweden, to continue and complete her work on Something About Wilderness, which she choreographs with Laïla Diallo. Commission for nine dancers created in a walled graden, the work will premiere on May 26, 2017, at Skånes Dansteater (Sweden), and 15 performances will follow.

Animal Triste premiered in Montreal at Agora de la danse, in February 2017, for the opening of the new Wilder Building. Watch the teaser of the work.

Following three performances in Sainte-Thérèse, Moncton and Le Bic, WOULD was presented at Accès Danse Festival last March.

The solo Icône Pop was created in August 2016 and performed by Mélanie Demers, upon the invitation of Roberto Casarotto of B Motion (Bassano). It is part of the Stabat Mater series of choreographic commissions, which invited women artists to create, inside a church, a work inspired by the Stabat Mater hymn. The piece was presented three times in a church in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, from August 26 to 28, 2016.
